Traduzca at TEDxLaçador

Event held on May 05 at Quinta da Estância Grande, in Viamão, neighboring Porto Alegre, approached the theme of LEGACIES: Stories that bring meaning to life. With the presence of guests from all over the world and different fields of expertise, who offered their views on the theme, TEDxLaçador included simultaneous interpretation of Spanish and English by a team of interpreters from Traduzca.

The core philosophy of lectures at TED, created in the USA over 20 years ago, is: Ideas worth spreading. Initially, the themes were restricted to Technology, Entertainment and Design (the initials of which form the name of the institution), but soon the events started becoming more popular, spreading around the globe and acquiring their own identity in each of the locations they were hosted.

In Rio Grande do Sul, the event is called TEDxLaçador, in reference to the monument considered the state’s postcard emblem, and all the editions are realized independently and with an environmental commitment to neutralize carbon emissions by planting trees and seedlings.
